FAQs

What are your fees?

My fees are $150.00 per session. Sessions last for 50 minutes.

Do you offer a sliding scale?
Yes, in some cases I do offer a sliding scale. I believe it is important to make therapy affordable for those who need it. Please contact me to discuss further.
Do you take Insurance?
I am not paneled with insurance companies, and there are important reasons for this. Most significantly, I am adamant about protecting the sacred and confidential relationship we build together, without ever being forced to divulge your private information to an insurance company. Not using insurance also allows me to meet peacefully and naturally with my clients without constraints. I am passionate about supporting my clients, their privacy and their personal journey.
Why should I go to therapy?
Everyone is different, but sometimes the weight of grief, anxiety or depression can become so overwhelming that it is difficult to navigate on your own. Talking through your complex feelings and emotions in a safe and sacred space can help you find your balance again.
What is therapy like?
I view therapy as an unconditionally safe place and time for you to process your emotions and feel heard and understood. Many people come to therapy in order to work through difficult life challenges such as grief and loss. Therapy can help you feel at peace and more balanced, and the therapeutic relationship can help cultivate change and offer hope.
What if I don't want to talk about something?
It’s very natural to not want to share everything all at once. When you are ready, and in your own time, I encourage you to share what feels right to you.
What do I do to get started?

The next step is to find a time to have a one-on-one free phone or video consultation. On the call, I will answer any questions you might have about our work together (or in addition to these Therapy FAQs), and you can share a little bit about what is going on and what your needs are. I look forward to connecting with you.

How can I reach you?

I find connecting by email at first can sometimes diminish the problems of playing phone tag. To get your free 15-minute phone or video consultation, please fill out my contact page. If you prefer to call, you can reach me at 773.558.9380. I’m here for you.

“We are walking paradoxes: strong as tempered steel, yet fragile as glass. In dire need of companionship, yet thirsting to be left alone. We need to talk about our loss, yet crave some space from the tragedy that perpetually surrounds us.”
